Software Engineer

Job Summary:

OpenShift provides a PAAS offering for web developers. This production could help customers deploy web services rapidly which can be accessed from the internet or private cloud. The Quality Engineering team has the important task of serving as the last gate that code must pass through on its way to public release. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will perform function, integration, and performance testing on Red Hat OpenShift. This position mainly focus on functional testing, including test feature research, test case design and execution.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Research new feature, design Test Plan/Test Cases.
  • Analyze, report and track defects in Bugzilla.
  • Execute test cases (both manual and automatic).
  • Troubleshooting technical issue.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience in quality engineering.
  • Familiar with test methodologies and techniques with a strong interest in software testing.
  • Familiar with Linux/Unix component, e.g: http, git, mysql, iptables.
  • Familiar with one or more of the programming languages, e.g: Shell, Ruby, Python.
  • Self-motivated with strong learning abilities, collaboration and commitment.
  • Ability to work under tight schedules and deliver timely results.
  • Excellent oral and written English-language skills.
